After a storm or a weekend of yard work, we haul away fallen branches, tree clippings, bags of leaves, old fencing, and brush. Dry brush piled against a house is a fire risk and it does not break down on its own, so we load it up and bring the organic waste to a facility that takes it.

What We Take: Yard Debris Removal
We take branches and limbs, brush and hedge trimmings, bagged and loose leaves, grass clippings, pulled shrubs and root balls, garden timbers, old fencing and lattice, dead planters and pots, and the general mess a storm leaves in a yard. Clean green waste goes to composting and organic waste facilities instead of a landfill. What does not go in with it is soil, stone, sod and the fill under a bed. Those are heavy for the space they take up, so they are weighed rather than measured and quoted as their own load. Tell us if any of that is going too and it will be in the number from the start.
What Sets the Price on Yard Debris Removal
Yard debris is bulky and light, which is why it is measured rather than weighed. Branches and brush fill the truck long before they reach its weight limit, so you are paying for the space, at $70 to $100 a cubic yard against a truck that holds 20, with a $120 minimum. Two things bring it toward the low end. Cutting long limbs down so the pile stacks rather than sprawls puts more of it in less truck. And a pile already at the curb or in the driveway is a short load, closer to $70 a yard, while the same pile at the bottom of a back garden is carried out armful by armful. Send a photo of the pile with something in the frame for scale.
How Much Will This Cost?
Pricing is based on the space your load takes up in the truck, or on weight for heavy material. We give you a free, firm price in person before any work begins, and once you agree to it, it does not go up.

Can you help right after a storm?
Yes, we're open 24/7 and storm cleanup is some of our most common urgent work. Downed limbs and scattered brush are usually cleared in a single visit.
How is yard debris removal priced?
It's priced by volume, with a $120 minimum. A few bags and branches land near the minimum; a full fall cleanup or big storm haul is quoted firm before we start raking a single thing.
Do I have to bag the leaves and cut the branches first?
No. Loose leaves, whole limbs and a brush pile nobody has touched are ordinary work for us, and we bring the rakes and the tarps. Cutting long limbs down does pack the truck tighter, so if you have already done it the load measures smaller, but it is not something you need to do before we come.
Can you take the debris a tree company left behind?
Yes, and we get asked this after most storms. Cut rounds, limbs and a chipped pile left in the yard all go on the truck, and the green waste goes to a composting facility rather than to a landfill. Rounds from a big trunk are heavy for the space they fill, so tell us the diameter when you send the photo and that will be in the quote.
Our Mission Beyond the Job
We keep as much out of landfills as we can. We sort through every truckload, and anything still usable that a charity will take goes for donation first, mostly to Big Blue Bargains in Swampscott, More Than Words in Boston and The Salvation Army.
What cannot be donated gets recycled wherever a facility will take it, and whatever is left goes to the disposal facilities we use.
