What We Take: Construction Debris Removal
A site load is usually lumber and cut-offs, sheet goods, drywall and plaster, roofing tear-off, siding, windows and doors, cabinets and countertop, flooring, tile, packaging and banding, and the empty buckets a job leaves behind. Metal studs, ducting, copper and conduit come out as scrap rather than going to the transfer station, and clean concrete and brick go to a recycling center. Paint, thinners and motor oil off a site we do take, quoted on their own because they need special handling.
The ones people ask about: we do take paint, chemicals, motor oil, tires, car batteries and propane tanks. They are quoted separately because they need special handling. Mattresses and box springs go to a mattress recycler whenever it will accept them, TVs and monitors go to an e-waste recycler, and appliances holding refrigerant go to a recycler that recovers the refrigerant. Each of those recyclers charges per item, and we pass that charge on for every piece it accepts. All of these charges come on top of the minimum or the volume price, and we tell you each one and confirm it with you before any work starts. Mattresses, box springs, old tube (CRT) TVs and monitors, and appliances holding refrigerant are disposal-banned in Massachusetts. The only things we turn down are asbestos, medical or biohazard waste, and anything leaking or still smoldering. See everything we take.
What Sets the Price on Construction Debris Removal
Two things decide what a site cleanup costs. The first is the mix. Wood, drywall and packaging are bulky, so they are priced by the space they fill, at $70 to $100 a cubic yard against a truck that holds 20. Tile, plaster and concrete are priced by weight instead, because disposal is sold to us by the ton. Most site loads are some of both, and we quote them as they actually are rather than averaging them out. The second is where the pile is. Debris stacked at the curb or in the driveway loads fast. The same debris spread across three rooms on a second floor is the same volume and a longer day.
How Much Will This Cost?
Pricing is based on the space your load takes up in the truck, or on weight for heavy material. We give you a free, firm price in person before any work begins, and once you agree to it, it does not go up.

Yes, contractors across the North Shore book us for end-of-week or end-of-phase pickups so the site stays safe and inspection-ready without tying up their own labor.
How is construction debris priced?
Wood, drywall and packaging are priced by the space they take up in the truck, with a $120 minimum, and tile, plaster and concrete are priced by weight. You get a firm number before we load, and nothing is added to the invoice afterwards.
Can you come the same day if an inspection is coming?

Do you separate the debris, or do we have to?
You do not have to. We separate on our end once the truck is loaded: metal goes to scrap, clean masonry goes to a recycling center, and what is left goes to the disposal facility we hold an account at. If your job has a recycling requirement you need to document, tell us when you book, because it is easier to keep the streams apart on the truck than to sort them out afterwards.
Are you insured to be on an active job site?
Yes. We carry $2M in general liability, a $1M umbrella policy and $1M in commercial auto coverage. We are USDOT registered under USDOT 8843043, and our drivers hold DOT medical cards. General contractors ask for a certificate before we come on site and that is normal. Send the requirement over when you book and we will get it to you.
Our Mission Beyond the Job
We keep as much out of landfills as we can. We sort through every truckload, and anything still usable that a charity will take goes for donation first, mostly to Big Blue Bargains in Swampscott, More Than Words in Boston and The Salvation Army.
What cannot be donated gets recycled wherever a facility will take it, and whatever is left goes to the disposal facilities we use.
