What We Take: Swing Set & Jungle Gym Removal
The whole set leaves: the timbers and the A-frame, the deck and the roof, the slide, the swings and their chains, the monkey bars, the climbing wall, the sandbox frame and the hardware holding it together. A trampoline in the same yard can go on the same visit. Metal frames, chains, springs and bolts come out of the load as scrap. If there is rubber mulch or a pea stone bed under the set, that can go too, though it is heavy for the space it fills, so mention it when you book rather than on the day.
What Sets the Price on Swing Set & Jungle Gym Removal
A playset is priced by the space the pieces take up once it is apart, at $70 to $100 a cubic yard against a truck that holds 20, with a $120 minimum. Two things move it. The first is the size of the set: a small metal frame is a short job, while a cedar fort with a deck, a roof, two towers and a slide is a lot of timber once it is cut to truck length. The second is what is underneath, since concrete footings, rubber mulch or a stone bed are weighed rather than measured. And the carry counts, because these sit in back yards behind gates rather than beside driveways.

Pricing is based on the space your load takes up in the truck, or on weight for heavy material. We give you a free, firm price in person before any work begins, and once you agree to it, it does not go up.

Do you dismantle the swing set or do I need to?
We handle the full teardown, rusted bolts, anchored posts, and all. Wooden playsets and metal gyms come apart and leave in the same visit.
Can you remove the concrete footings too?
Yes. If the posts are cemented in, we dig the footings out, so the ground is clear rather than just mowed over. Mention it when you get your quote.
What happens to the old playset?
Wood, metal, and plastic are separated for recycling wherever possible. Playsets in genuinely good shape occasionally find second homes, and we'll tell you honestly if yours qualifies.
How much does swing set removal cost?
Most swing set removals can be quoted from a photo, with a $120 minimum, and we confirm the number in person before we start. The price includes teardown, hauling, and raking the area clean.
Is the lawn going to be wrecked?
No. We take the set apart where it stands and carry the pieces out rather than dragging them across the grass, and we pick up the bolts, the washers and the plastic caps before we go. You'll usually find dead grass where the set stood and worn patches under the swings, and both grow back once you reseed.
Can you take other things out of the yard on the same trip?
Yes. A trampoline or a basketball hoop in the same yard can come down on the same trip, and one truck costs less than two trips. Put them in the photo with the swing set and we will price them together.
Our Mission Beyond the Job
We keep as much out of landfills as we can. We sort through every truckload, and anything still usable that a charity will take goes for donation first, mostly to Big Blue Bargains in Swampscott, More Than Words in Boston and The Salvation Army.
What cannot be donated gets recycled wherever a facility will take it, and whatever is left goes to the disposal facilities we use.
