How Middleton Handles Bulk Items
In Middleton, a sofa, a recliner, a dresser, a desk or a headboard goes to the transfer station on Natsue Way, which is open Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Getting in takes the town's vehicle sticker, which is only sold for cars registered in Middleton, and every bulk item, mattress or TV needs its own extra sticker bought ahead of time and stuck on before you bring it. Appliances go in the metal bins, but anything with Freon has to be emptied by a certified vendor first, and brush is only taken on scheduled collection days.
The station has no place at all for construction and demolition waste, stumps, rocks, dirt, oil-based paint, motor oil or car batteries, and the attendant can turn away a load that looks too big to come from one house. We take the renovation debris and the paint along with the furniture, and you do not need a sticker or a Middleton registration for any of it.
We checked each rule above against the official page it links to in October 2026.
