We take out old refrigerators, freezers and the spare fridge in the garage or the basement, and we do all of the carrying, down the stairs and out the door. Anything holding refrigerant has to be handled under EPA and Massachusetts rules, so a fridge or a freezer goes to a facility that recovers the refrigerant before the steel goes to scrap.

How We Handle It

Send us a photo of the unit and tell us where it is, and you get a price before we start. The refrigerant handling is quoted on its own line, so you see that number up front too instead of finding it on a bill afterwards.

We also do appliance removal, water heater removal, and scrap metal pickup.

How Much Will This Cost?

Pricing is based on the space your load takes up in the truck, or on weight for heavy material. We give you a free, firm price in person before any work begins, and once you agree to it, it does not go up.

• $70 to $100 per cubic yard
• Closer to $70 when it is light and easy to reach

For a very small job close to our Salem base we can sometimes bring the minimum down to $80 to $100, so it is worth asking. The minimum can also be higher for a job well outside our normal routes. See the full pricing page.
