Estate Cleanouts
Most Stoneham estate work starts with a family emptying a house on a deadline they did not choose. We go room by room rather than straight to the truck, because something worth keeping is almost always in the wrong pile.

Serving Stoneham and the rest of the North Shore, fast, friendly, and affordable junk removal from a brother-owned crew.
If you're in Stoneham, MA and need junk hauled away, The Junk Heroes are your local team. We're a brother-owned business based right here on the North Shore, and we treat every customer like a neighbor, because you are one.
Stoneham sits right at the edge of the Middlesex Fells Reservation, which gives the town a quieter, woodsier feel than its neighbors. Most of the housing is mid-density, colonials, ranches, capes, with some larger homes in the Bear Hill area. The work we do here is mostly residential, garage and basement cleanouts, attic clear-outs, yard debris from the heavily wooded properties near the Fells, and downsizing in older homes. Easy access in and out of town from I-93 makes Stoneham one of our quicker turnaround areas.
Most of what we get called for in Stoneham is one item or one room, a single couch going out or a basement that filled up over the years. You point at what goes, we carry it out from wherever it sits, and you do not lift anything.
The ones people ask about: we do take paint, chemicals, motor oil, tires and car batteries. They are quoted separately because they need special handling. Mattresses, TVs and monitors are disposal-banned in Massachusetts, so they go to a specific recycler and carry a separate fee. The only things we turn down are asbestos, medical or biohazard waste, and anything leaking or still smouldering. See everything we take.

These take longer than a normal job and we price them that way up front. We keep it quiet in Stoneham, we do not comment on what is in the house, and anything that might matter gets set aside for you first.
Other jobs we take on in Stoneham:
Pricing is based on how much room your load takes up in the truck, so you are paying for space rather than for an hour of somebody's time. These are the same rates everywhere we work, Stoneham included.
Two things move the rate inside that band: weight and access. If the load is light and we can walk straight to it, the rate drops toward $70 a yard. Going the other way, a load of tile or plaster weighs several times what the same volume of cardboard does, and a third-floor walk-up takes longer than a driveway. For a very small job close to our Salem base we can sometimes come down to $80 to $100, so it is worth asking. The minimum can also go up for a job well outside our normal routes. Mattresses, TVs, tires, paint and concrete are quoted separately because they need special handling. You get a firm number in person before anything moves, and that number is what you pay.
Call or text, tell us what needs to go, and we give you a firm price in person before anything moves.
The Junk Heroes is a brother-owned and operated junk removal company proudly rooted in Salem, MA. We live right on the line between Salem and Swampscott, two minutes from Vinnin Square, and we started this business because we saw a need for a junk removal service that actually showed up on time, treated customers like neighbors, and charged honest prices.
We do this by the book. We carry $2M in general liability, a $1M umbrella policy and $1M in commercial auto coverage. We are USDOT registered (USDOT 8843043), our drivers hold DOT medical cards, and we hold commercial accounts at the disposal facilities we use, so every load ends up where it is supposed to. Call or text in English or Portuguese.
"Absolutely would recommend Henrique and Filipe, so nice and professional and came same day for both a quote and the actual removal!! They were careful to pivot things around our existing furniture and walls so as not to scratch or damage anything. Only good things to say!"
"Henrique and his brother were amazing! I texted them at 9 and they were at my house by 10, gave a very reasonable estimate (for free) and had all my junk gone by 10:30. They were incredibly professional and courteous. I will 100% call them again!!!"
"Absolutely recommend!!! Excellent communication, very polite, and clear pricing. These guys WANT TO WORK, flexible and patient as our plans kept shifting. My dad has dementia and they were incredibly sensitive to our situation. We really appreciated that!"
"Absolutely awesome experience with Junk Heroes! Professional, friendly, efficient, and incredibly quick. They showed up on time and made the whole junk-removal process painless. Moving out of an apartment is stressful enough, so a crew that takes pride in the work was huge."
"Junk Heroes did an amazing job with our junk removal in Saugus, Massachusetts. They arrived on time, worked fast, and completely cleared out a porch that was packed with junk, boxes, and old items. The before-and-after difference was amazing."
"The Junk Heroes are awesome!!! Excellent communication, showed up on time, and worked quickly. They were super careful while removing a heavy, awkward appliance through an old house and they talked to each other throughout the process to make sure nothing was damaged."

Yes, every part of it, Farm Hill, Haywardville and Lindenwood included. We are up and down Woodland Road and Lynn Fells Parkway constantly. We are based in Salem and this is our own backyard, so we are rarely far away, and we already know which streets a box truck can get down and which ones mean carrying it out to the road.
Pricing is based on how much room your stuff takes up in the truck, with a $120 minimum for a job. Weight and access move the number too, because a basement full of tile is not the same job as a basement full of cardboard. You get a firm price in person before we touch anything, and that price does not change afterwards. If you want the longer version, we broke down what junk removal actually costs in Massachusetts and why it runs above the national averages.
Often, yes. We are reachable 24/7 and we do a lot of same-day work, but we will not promise same-day sight unseen, because it depends on what is already on the truck that day. Call and we will tell you straight whether we can get to you.
Anything still usable gets donated, mostly to Big Blue Bargains in Swampscott, More Than Words in Boston and The Salvation Army. Scrap metal goes to Turner Inc in Lynn. The rest normally goes to the Republic transfer station in Peabody, and if we have to dump in the middle of a route we use Pinto Recycling in Peabody or G. Mellow in Georgetown. We would rather name the actual places than just tell you we recycle. If you would rather hand it to the town, the rules change every few miles: this is how Salem's bulk pickup works and what it will not take, and this is what Marblehead, Beverly, Swampscott, Peabody, Danvers and Lynn each do with a bulk item.
