Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of thejunkheroes.com (the "Site") and any junk removal, cleanout, or hauling services you book with The Junk Heroes LLC ("The Junk Heroes," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site or booking a service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site or our services.

Quotes & Pricing

Quotes provided by phone, text, online form, or in person are estimates based on the information and photos you provide. The final price is confirmed on-site before any work begins, based on the actual volume and type of items to be removed. Once you accept a final, on-site quote, that is the price you pay, we do not add fees after work has started absent a change in scope you request. A $120 minimum normally applies. For a very small job close to our Salem base it can be lower, and for a job well outside our normal routes it can be higher.

Scheduling & Cancellations

We do our best to honor scheduled appointment windows, but times may shift due to traffic, prior jobs running long, or weather. We'll communicate any delays as soon as we're aware of them. You may cancel or reschedule a booked appointment at no charge by contacting us before we arrive. We are open 24/7, but same-day availability is not guaranteed and depends on our schedule at the time you contact us.

Deposits

We do not require a deposit for standard residential or commercial jobs. For large cleanouts (such as full estate, hoarder home, or multi-room cleanouts), we may request a deposit, but only after you have accepted a firm quote, never before.

What We Can and Cannot Remove

We remove most household, commercial, and construction items. Paint, chemicals, oil, tires, car batteries, and propane tanks are accepted, but they require specialized handling and disposal, are quoted separately, and must be disclosed before work begins. We do not accept asbestos, medical or biohazard waste, or anything leaking or still smouldering. If an item cannot be safely or legally removed by our crew, we will let you know before proceeding.

Property & Access

You are responsible for ensuring our crew has safe, legal access to the items being removed, and for disclosing any known hazards (structural issues, pests, mold, etc.) at the pickup location. Our team takes care to avoid damage to your property; if damage does occur as a direct result of our work, contact us promptly so we can address it. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, normal wear from access (e.g., minor scuffs during a difficult basement removal), or damage caused by unsafe conditions not disclosed to us in advance.

Donation, Recycling & Disposal

Items we remove may be donated to local charities, recycled, or disposed of at licensed facilities, at our discretion, in line with our environmental commitment. Once an item is removed from your property, it becomes our responsibility to dispose of, and we make no guarantee about the specific destination of any individual item.

Payment

Payment is due upon completion of the job unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept cash, card, check, Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Massachusetts law, The Junk Heroes' total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you paid for the service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Website Use

The content on this Site (text, images, logos, and design) is owned by The Junk Heroes or used with permission and may not be copied or reproduced without our consent. You agree not to misuse the Site, including attempting to disrupt its normal operation or submitting false information through our quote forms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Essex County, Massachusetts.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site or our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
